When the suggestion and possibility of moving abroad faces you, you may not always suddenly think of the reason why to move. Most probably, the first thing you would do is to analyze its impact in your life. Then, before you know it, you have already set foot on the airplane, bound for a far-away destination where you will be spending every day of your life for the next few years or perhaps for the rest of your life. It is only afterwards when the reason of moving sinks in and expatriates realize it fully. That is, of course, discounting the possibility of you ruminating on moving for a number of years already. Reasons and Motivations For MovingIn the present time, people are moving abroad for various reasons and motivations; many move for their careers, others for personal intentions. As time goes on and people continue to be educated in global affairs, many are being enticed in leaving their own homelands. Locals see people from various background, ethnicity, age range, and culture populate their streets yearly. Countries get saturated with "foreigners" and the borders for each race and culture are blurred in some of the world's most famous cities - creating hodgepodges of a major scale. What, then, are the major reasons why you would even consider moving to another country which could be wholly unknown to you? • Career ProgressMany people of the younger generation are often convinced into moving to another country by the companies for whom they work. Promising young urban professionals are sent to their company's branches in other countries for further career training and advancement. Others who already hold managerial positions are stationed in foreign lands to oversee their projects. There are also those who go to a certain country with the intention of building a new business or a branch of their own companies. • In Search of a Better LifeThere are also those who move in search of greener pastures. Many in the third world work force work in countries where their set of skills pays more than it would in their own. Contrary to popular belief however, it is not only those who come from poor nations who seek better lives in foreign lands. Others from rich countries, Britain, for example, look for places where their savings would stretch more than it would in their own nations. Many who fall under the latter types are retirees who want to live a life of comfort within the amount of their pensions. • Seeking Out New Adventures and ThrillsPerhaps this motivation is more applicable for the younger generation but there are also those in the older age range who get tired of everyday rote and would like to try something new. Living in a new country is nothing short of a challenge to satisfy thrill-seekers. Natural adventurers could have also been bitten by the travel bug. Other reasons for moving abroad include:• A predilection for a warmer climate • Interest in a specific set of cultures in traditions of a certain country • Relationship of any sort with a person from a certain country
